It's Happileigh Scrappin' Monday...

Happy Monday to you all!  I can hear you groaning, so stop...pretend it's still Sunday...lol!

Leigh has a new inspiration picture for all of you...

How is that for a gorgeous picture?  Love the soft colors and vintage look to it.  Of course, you all should know by now that I have a hard time with soft colors and vintage.  I also don't think I could work without shimmer and bling....hmmm, may have to give it a shot sometime.  My inspiration is right here for all of you;  the image is titled Door Basket (so when you go look for it in the store, you will know what to look for).

Found out the hard way by working on this image that a certain pencil's gold doesn't turn out gold.  The ribbon is entirely gold ___ pencil.  The background behind the focal image is all hand chalked.  There are stickles in the flower centers (of course) and homemade shimmer on the ribbon and door plate and knob.  The door plate is actually silver, but picked up the purple cast from the flash when I took this photo...tried to edit it out to no avail.  I'll try to do better next week, ya'll.

You can find this image and many others too gorgeous to talk about at Leigh's Happileigh Scrappin' Store.  Ya'll don't forget to check out my DT sister's sites (look to your left in my sidebar).  They have done some awesome work this week....each and every one of them.  You'll be cheating yourself out of some fantastic eye candy if you don't visit them!

And, hey, everybody....don't forget it is still Breast Cancer Awareness month.  If you haven't done your self exam, you better get to it.  It's easy to do and too important to miss!  Tell the men in your life that men get breast cancer, too.  They may not like hearing it, but it's better to hear it and have them checking also, than to miss something like this!  That's my public service sermon for today....hope each and every one of you has a blessed day!!

  1. What a pretty card. I think you are the queen of bling. The inspiration piece is rockin' too. I love vintage and shabby chic, plus pink is the best color in the whole world!
