My Granny's Flowers....

Happy Monday to everyone!  The digital image I made this card from is called Flower Bouquet; the image was created by Leigh Grady and you can find it at Happileigh Scrappin' Store.  I love flowers of all sorts.  However, this is not the type of floral image I would normally use.  I couldn't figure out why it kept calling to me.

I finally got my answer when I started coloring the image.  The colors just jumped into my hands and it was my Granny doing it.  When I was quite young, I spent a lot of time living with my grandparents.  My grandmother, who is long passed now, loved making floral arrangements.  Remember now, back then there weren't all the realistic silk flowers we now have.  They were plastic.  They were bright red, bright blue, bright orange...whatever the color was, it was bright!  Granny's house was full of her arrangements and I never could understand it.  That was her enjoyment and pleasure.  Maybe, just maybe, there's a little of my Granny in me after all. So, Granny, this is for you!
